ENGAGING A BABY BOOMER AUDIENCE WITH WIRELESS TECH - HERO CYCLE ENGAGEMENT

THE CHALLENGE

With government officers and a baby boomer audience, Business World wanted to provide a brochure free experience. It was important the onboarding experience was simple for the audience.

USER BEHAVIOUR

The app had to provide value in engaging an audience that was accustomed to traditional modes of event communication. Over implementation of digital touchpoints to push a mobile driven engagement had the potential of losing attendee interest.

With the help of these early observations, our apps delivered a frictionless experience and showcased an Internet of Things (IoT) pilot.

APP PROMOTION AND REGISTRATION

To ensure attendees were prepared for the app being the main source of information - Emails, Social Media and SMS was used to communicate the app advantages.

We were able to fast track attendee registration since app users received an automated personalized greeting marking their attendance.

PERSONALIZED GREETINGS WITH SENSORS

EventBuoy apps integrated with beacons(bluetooth sensors) identified users that downloaded the app & displayed a personalized message in real time when they entered the venue.

BRAND INTEGRATION FOR HERO CYCLES

LECTRO by Hero Cycles is an Electrically Pedal Assisted Cycle (EPAC) which was showcased at the Smart city event.

To highlight the key features and enable easy access to the product brochure - an EventBuoy Progressive Web App (e-PWA) delivered LECTRO content in an e-brochure format.

When the smartphone is waved in front of LECTRO interactive posters, a push notification is delivered the ebrochure on the user's smartphone.

The device GPS location & bluetooth was switched on for this experience. Over 80% of the attendees experienced the brand engagement generating a qualified database for the brand owner.
